Who you're working with

Hi, I'm Kai.

Founder & Creative Director · Vancouver, BC

I'm a Vancouver-based multidisciplinary designer working across brand identity, digital products, and websites. I like solving complicated problems, experimenting with ideas, and making things that excite me just as much as they excite you.

I studied Interaction Design at Emily Carr University and began my career designing digital experiences for Airble Aviation, a private aviation marketplace. Working across its mobile app, booking platform, and air operator tools taught me to balance creative ambition with the realities of building products people rely on.

Since then, I've worked with brands across different industries, bringing together visual design, user experience, and creative direction. I also co-founded FLUI Design Jam, a hands-on design challenge that connects emerging designers with real clients, mentors, and Vancouver's creative community.

FLUI design jam

Co-founded at Emily Carr, FLUI (For the Love of UI) grew from a student-led idea into a hands-on design jam. It pairs student teams with real-world challenges from local organizations and connects emerging creatives with mentors and Vancouver’s wider design community.

Studio Kai is independent and founder-led. You work directly with me throughout the project, from the initial conversation to the final handoff. When a brief needs a different specialist skill, I can bring in trusted collaborators with your agreement. The studio stays personal, focused and flexible.
